We want to empower your town to become energy independent through 100% renewable and local energy choice.

Our community solar program gives back to the community and enables subscribers who support clean energy generation to spend less on electricity.

Subscribers save up to 10% annually on electricity by supporting renewable energy. We support your community by funding local sustainability efforts.

PLEASE NOTE: While the Giving Back Program has ended and the community Funds closed July 31, 2021, you may still sign up for community solar to receive guaranteed electricity bill savings and support clean energy generation in NY State.

SUSTAINABILITY FUNDS
To help put communities on a new path towards 100% renewable generation, we established Sustainability Funds for municipalities that support community solar.

PURPOSE OF THE FUNDS
Municipalities can use the funds to finance future sustainability projects of their own choosing.

WHERE DOES THE FUNDING COME FROM?
Solar farm developers typically have high customer acquisition costs. By enrolling customers in community solar as part of a municipally-endorsed community choice program, however, we can significantly reduce the sales and marketing budgets required to attract enough customers to make a solar farm project viable. By reducing costs, we’re able to channel savings back into the community.

HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED

VILLAGE OF PITTSFORD ARBORETUM

The Village of Pittsford plans to create a Village Arboretum. The 10-acre parcel will be devoted to the planting an conservation of native tree species.
